I work mostly in oils now but I also love watercolor and other media. I created this video on oil painting techniques to show my work process to my students, which pretty much is a traditional “Old Masters” method of applying brown color (Burnt Sienna or Burnt Umber) – “underpainting” first, and then working in layers, finishing with glazes.
